Job summary

Scale Army Careers is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager for a fully remote role. You will own day-to-day accounting, including AP, bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and payroll coordination, with strong emphasis on scalable processes.

You will partner with leadership to ensure accurate records, timely payments, and clean reporting, while leveraging automation tools to improve efficiency and support growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in accounting or a related finance role.
• Hands-on experience with general ledger management and month-end close.
• Experience processing vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or Xero.
• Payroll experience with Gusto is a plus.
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries.
• Manage accounts payable processing and payment workflows.
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Coordinate payroll through Gusto and review expense reports.
• Support with tax filings and liaise with external CPAs.
