Job summary

Connexa Search Group is seeking a Senior Accountant for a remote-first role, managing core accounting processes and supporting scalable project finance.

You will own month-end close, AR, and assist with financial reporting and system upgrades, partnering with the Controller and cross-functional teams.

Candidates should have a CPA-eligible background and a track record of process improvements in a fast-growing services organization.

Qualifications

• Progressive accounting experience with month-end and year-end close.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus.
• Led at least one process-improvement, compliance, or systems project.
• Strong spreadsheet skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.
• Comfortable evaluating new technologies, including ERP platforms.
• Strong communication across teams and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Drive month-end and year-end close with ownership of key areas.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger, investigate variances.
• Manage accounts receivable end to end: invoicing, collections, aging.
• Prepare monthly statements and support forecasting and variances.

Summary

This is a new Senior Accountant role on a small, growing finance team. You will own key parts of the close, manage accounts receivable end to end, support financial reporting, and lead finance systems and compliance projects that help the organization scale. This role is fully remote, with a preference for candidates in the West Coast or Mountain time zone.

Why This Role

This is new headcount with real room to grow. The finance team is expected to expand as the organization scales, and the role pairs hands-on accounting with true project ownership, including a planned finance systems upgrade.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Controller to drive month-end and year-end close, independently owning key areas of the process
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, investigate variances, and strengthen controls
• Manage accounts receivable end to end, including invoicing, collections tracking, and aging analysis
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and support forecasting and variance analysis
• Project-manage compliance initiatives from research through filing, including foreign qualification and sales tax registrations
• Lead finance systems initiatives, including evaluating current tools and supporting a planned ERP migration
• Design and document new processes as operations scale
• Prepare documentation for external audits and tax filings in line with US GAAP
• Serve as a project point of contact across Finance, coordinating timelines and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Progressive accounting experience with significant ownership of month-end and year-end close
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or other professional certification is a plus
• Has led, not just supported, at least one process-improvement, compliance, or systems project
• Strong spreadsheet skills, including pivot tables and lookups
• Solid understanding of US GAAP
• Comfortable evaluating and recommending new technologies, including AI-enabled tools and ERP platforms
• Highly detail-oriented, with strong business acumen and clear communication across teams
