Premier Group Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to independently manage complex accounting engagements, lead recurring close and reporting activities, and act as a technical resource for clients and team members.

The role emphasizes reviewing financial results, identifying issues, improving processes, and guiding less-experienced staff toward success while handling government and grant accounting tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA license or active CPA candidacy preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting, outsourced accounting, governmental, nonprofit, or professional services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal financial reporting schedules, account analyses, reconciliations, journal entries, variance explanations, and supporting documentation.
• Perform complex monthly and quarterly reconciliations involving general ledger, Treasury, intragovernmental, suspense, clearing, payroll, grant, and other fund-related accounts.
• Research and resolve unreconciled balances, abnormal balances, unsupported transactions, aging items, and other financial discrepancies.
• Support federal financial statement preparation and reporting requirements with schedules and documentation.
• Support grant financial management, including review of grant expenditures, drawdowns, and compliance with 2 CFR Part 200.
