Job summary

Orbiss in New York seeks an Accountant and Advisory Senior to oversee a client portfolio from bookkeeping to year-end closing. You will ensure timely reports, perform reconciliations, and support consolidation while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience within an accounting firm.
• Strong technical accounting skills in bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and P&L analysis.
• Proficiency in financial reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual periods.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities to support junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Managing a client portfolio from bookkeeping to year-end closing, including bank reconciliation, closing journal entries, P&L analysis, and supporting schedules.
• Creating timely and accurate accounting reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
• Detecting inaccuracies and investigating account discrepancies.
• Proposing recommendations to optimize accounting systems and procedures.
• Managing intercompany reconciliation.
• Participating in consolidation process.
• Supporting junior team’s collaborators.
