Job summary

Orbiss is seeking an Accountant and Advisory Senior in the United States to manage a client portfolio from bookkeeping through year-end closing and P&L analysis. You will prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, detect discrepancies, and propose improvements to accounting systems and procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience within an accounting firm.
• Strong technical accounting skills in bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, journal entries and P&L analysis.
• Proficiency in financial reporting to produce monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Analytical skills to detect inaccuracies and investigate discrepancies.
• Experience in intercompany reconciliation and transactions between entities.
• Experience with financial consolidation processes.
• Leadership and mentoring abilities to support junior team members.
• Meticulous attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Managing a client portfolio from bookkeeping to year-end closing, including bank reconciliation, closing journal entries, P&L analysis, and supporting schedules.
• Creating timely and accurate accounting reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
• Detecting inaccuracies and investigating account discrepancies.
• Proposing recommendations to optimize accounting systems and procedures.
• Managing intercompany reconciliation.
• Participating in the consolidation process.
