Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Manager for Commercial Lines to remotely manage a book of business with a focus on retention and growth. The role emphasizes leadership of the account management team, policy administration, and client service excellence.

Ideal candidates bring extensive insurance industry experience, active licensing (CIC preferred), and strong analytical and communication skills to deliver proactive, accurate service across the Eastern and Central time

Qualifications

• 5+ years of account management experience or 7+ years in the insurance industry
• Active licensing required; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts, collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms for data accuracy.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively meet client needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership in line with IOA values.
