Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Manager for the Commercial Lines book. You will manage an assigned book, retain accounts, and support new business while leading day-to-day activities and resolving complex issues.

The role is remote (Eastern and Central Time Zones) with occasional on-site needs, focusing on service excellence, policy renewals, and carrier relations. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in account management, active licensing, CIC or equivalent designation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of account management experience, or 7+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status and any issues with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service, anticipate needs, and respond quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
