Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, drive retention, and support new business. Remote work across Eastern/Central time zones with potential hybrid onsite in some cases; relies on strong client service and coordination across teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in account management or 7+ years in insurance, licensing, and CIC preferred, with proficiency in MS Office and a focus on accuracy and service excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of account management experience or 7+ years in insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service, anticipate needs, and respond quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
