Job summary

Vaisala is seeking a Business Development Manager with deep semiconductor industry expertise to join our North American Industrial Instruments sales team. This remote role offers up to 45% travel and targets growth among fabs, OEMs, and equipment suppliers.

You will lead strategic planning, market analysis, and client acquisition, crafting proposals and demonstrations while collaborating with product, marketing, and support teams to win new business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, material physics, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in the semiconductor industry with business development and sales.
• Experience working with fabs, OEMs, or capital equipment manufacturers.
• Strong understanding of cleanroom, metrology, and process control in semiconductor applications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand the client base in semiconductor cleanrooms and machinery sectors.
• Identify, target, and acquire new clients within the semiconductor industry requiring advanced measurement solutions.
• Attend industry conferences and build long-term relationships with key stakeholders to promote Vaisala products.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to prospective clients.
• Collaborate with product management, regional marketing, and customer support to align sales activities.
