Job summary

Land O'Lakes Seed Sales Agronomist is the local expert for WinField United Commercial Sales teams, Market Development Agronomist and retailers, focusing on seed products and agronomy tools for Croplan/Armor and partners. The role is remote/virtual but must be located in Ohio, Northern Indiana or Southern MI to closely partner with customers.

Responsibilities include training internal teams and retailers, forecasting local product needs, and developing technical training materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture or related field with 5+ years of industry experience.
• Experience coaching, training and executing technical agronomic decisions.
• Understanding of seed crop growth and physiology for core crops by geography.
• Ability to build working relationships internally and externally while influencing others.
• Ability to make sound and timely decisions and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• 50% Execute local training and communication plans for seed portfolio strategy and execution.
• 30% Develop local seed selling tools, coordinate on-farm trials, and deliver content.
• 20% Conduct local needs assessment and forecast production with seed portfolio managers.
