Job summary

ABBTECH Professional Resources, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Developer for a remote, security-critical program. You’ll design, develop, test, deploy, and sustain secure software systems across enterprise and cyber domains with opportunities in search/discovery, ICAM, and Angular front-ends.

Role requires active Secret clearance and ability to maintain it. You will work in Agile/Scrum teams, mentor juniors, and collaborate with cybersecurity and systems engineers to deliver mission-focused

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering production software in secure or regulated environments.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Java in enterprise apps, web services, APIs.
• Experience designing secure architectures (authentication/authorization, encryption, access controls, secure data handling).
• Linux administration/deployment and troubleshooting experience.
• Proficiency in at least one additional language (e.g., C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL).
• Excellent communication and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure applications and services supporting Government mission systems.
• Lead or contribute to full software lifecycle activities: requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, sustainment.
• Build and enhance Java-based back-end systems, APIs, and web services in secure environments.
• Develop secure data discovery/search capabilities (Elasticsearch/Lucene).
• Support ICAM/authorization solutions (OpenAM/ForgeRock or similar).
• Develop and integrate front-end components as needed (Angular/related).
• Implement and maintain automated testing and CI/CD workflows; code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and deploy systems in Linux and Windows environments; provide operational support and RCA.
• Produce clear technical documentation (design notes, runbooks, interface docs).
• Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, system engineers, and stakeholders in Agile/Scrum.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
• Embedded/hardware-adjacent support for specialized platforms when required.
• Develop tools for performance testing and validation on SOC/FPGA-adjacent environments.
