Job summary

ABBTECH Professional Resources, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, test, deploy and sustain secure software systems for government missions in a remote environment.

You will work across back-end Java services, data discovery/search, and ICAM authorization systems, while collaborating with cybersecurity and systems teams in Agile delivery. A clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering production software in secure or regulated environments.
• Strong hands-on development with Java (enterprise apps, web services, APIs).
• Experience designing and implementing secure architectures (authentication/authorization, encryption, access controls).
• Working knowledge of Linux administration/deployment and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in at least one additional language (e.g., C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL) and data persistence patterns.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure applications and services supporting Government mission systems.
• Lead or contribute to full software lifecycle activities: requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, sustainment.
• Build and enhance Java-based back-ends, APIs, and web services in secure environments.
• Develop secure data discovery/search capabilities (Elasticsearch/Lucene).
• Support ICAM/authorization solutions (OpenAM/ForgeRock-style ecosystems).
• Develop front-end components as needed (Angular/related frameworks).
• Implement automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD-aligned workflows.
