Optum, a global healthcare organization, is seeking an SDS/Observations Medical Coder for a full-time remote role in the United States. You will assign CPT and ICD-10 codes for outpatient Ambulatory Observation, while following official guidelines and client-specific coding rules.

Responsibilities include analyzing CCI edits, applying Medicare APC insights, and providing documentation feedback to providers. Requires AHIMA/AAPC credentials and 2+ years in outpatient coding.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of outpatient facility coding experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Same Day Surgery Coding.
• 2+ years of ICD-10 experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify CPT/ICD-10 codes for outpatient Ambulatory Observation services.
• Analyze/correct CCI Edits and Medical Necessity Edits.
• Maintain up-to-date coding knowledge per QM Manager and Director.
