Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• AHIMA/AAPC coding certification (annual maintenance).
• 2+ years experience with ICD-10, CPT, and modifiers.
• 2+ years experience in observation coding.
• Intermediate Excel and EMR proficiency.
• Attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assign ICD-10, CPT and modifiers for facility services.
• Adhere to official coding guidelines and client guidelines.
• Maintain up-to-date coding knowledge per QM/Director guidance.
• Collaborate in coding department meetings and training events.
• Query physicians when appropriate.
