Job summary

Applause is seeking an Outbound Sales Development Representative to generate 12+ completed demos per month by calling and emailing SMB prospects, and to promote our presence at trade shows through pre-event outreach.

This independent contractor role is 100% remote, with a base hourly pay and uncapped commissions. You will work 8 hours within 7 AM–7 PM EST and partner with AEs to build pipeline and qualify opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in outbound B2B SaaS sales with quotas.
• Strong verbal and written communication with SMB decision-makers.
• Familiar with CRMs (HubSpot or Salesforce) for prospecting.
• Comfortable handling 200+ outbound calls per day.
• Must balance high activity with timely follow-ups.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
• Able to work an 8-hour shift within 7 AM–7 PM EST.

Responsibilities

• Outbound Engagement: focus 80%+ on calls and emails to SMB prospects.
• Product Representation: convey Applause benefits with integrity and passion.
• Prospect Education: explain value of Applause software to build interest.
• Demo Scheduling: arrange qualified demos with Account Executives.
• Trade Show Engagement: reach out to attendees to drive booth visits.
