Job summary

Zoom Communications, Inc. is seeking an SDK Engineer for cross-platform development of the Zoom Phone SDK. You will design features, support client/server teams, and ensure reliability and stability while delivering continuous enhancements.

The role requires 4 years in C/C++, VOIP analysis, SIP stacks, and IDEs like Visual Studio. Telecommuting is permitted and travel is not required within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 4 years experience with C/C++ and OO programming.
• 4 years experience with Wireshark for VOIP traffic analysis.
• 4 years experience with IDEs including Visual Studio.
• 4 years experience with Valgrind for memory checks.
• 4 years experience with Flame Graph for CPU analysis.
• 4 years experience with TCP/UDP/TLS/RTP/SRTP/RCTP protocols.
• 4 years experience with SIP stacks like PJSIP, reSIProcate, FreeSWITCH.

Responsibilities

• Design architecture for Zoom Phone tasks and interfaces between client, server, and UI layers.
• Implement new features and unit tests; coordinate across teams and align with release plan.
• Conduct integration testing with server and client teams.
• Use WPA to prevent memory leaks in SDK code.
• Use Checkmarx to scan and fix SDK issues.
• Use UMDH to analyze heap allocations.
• Perform sanity testing to prevent crashes and regressions.
• Maintain auto-testing tools and enhance testing scenarios.
• Review customer tickets and perform root cause analysis.
• Analyze call details and reproduce steps to resolve issues.
• Review bugs with reporters and determine solutions.
• Perform integration testing on development and release branches.
• Collaborate with product management to define requirements and use cases.
• Coordinate with other teams to finalize design and roll out releases.
