Job summary

SKYGEN is seeking an entry-level Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET I) to build and maintain automated tests for SKYGEN applications and APIs. You’ll work within established automation frameworks, expanding your skills across UI, API, integration, and data testing.

You will collaborate with software engineers, QA, product, and other teams to ensure quality and faster feedback, while growing toward ownership of automation solutions in a supportive, Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 0–2 years in software testing, QA, or related role.
• Experience with programming, APIs, databases, or automation is valuable.
• Interest in software engineering, test automation, and Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests for web apps and APIs.
• Create tests using established automation frameworks and patterns.
• Develop UI automation with Selenium or Playwright.
• Validate REST API requests, responses, and schemas.
• Use SQL to prepare test data and verify results.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and QA on acceptance criteria.
• Participate in Agile scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement.
