Job summary

SKYGEN is seeking an early-career Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET I) to join a hands-on automation team. You will build, maintain and execute automated tests for SKYGEN applications and APIs, with UI automation using Selenium or Playwright and REST API validation.

The role collaborates with engineers, QA, and product teams to embed quality throughout development. You will gain experience across UI, API, integration, and data testing, and participate in Agile ceremonies while growing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, IT or related field preferred.
• 0-2 years in software development, software testing, test automation, or QA.
• Experience with programming, APIs, databases, or automation is valuable.
• Interest in software engineering, test automation, and Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests for web apps, APIs, and backend services.
• Create automated tests using established frameworks and patterns.
• Develop UI automation using Selenium or Playwright.
• Develop and execute REST API tests.
• Use SQL to create test data and validate results.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, QA, and analysts.
• Participate in Agile scrum ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot automated test failures and diagnose issues.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and improve reliability.
• Learn and apply AI-assisted coding/testing tools.
