Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Software Developer in Test (SDET) to support our Veterans Affairs projects in a 100% remote, full-time capacity. Strong programming skills in C#, Java, or Python are essential, with experience across automated and manual testing.

Responsibilities include designing and executing test plans, writing test cases, conducting walkthroughs, and delivering test metrics while collaborating with Test Managers and Developers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years total work experience.
• 10+ years of software testing and quality assurance.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Public Trust (MBI) clearance.
• Experience across multiple testing types (functional, regression, integration, system, usability, UAT).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
• Write test cases and scripts and identify data for test scenarios.
• Conduct walkthroughs with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, and Dev Leads.
• Perform and lead tests to ensure proper operation and defect-free software.
• Document and communicate test results and metrics.
