Job summary

Kobie is a remote-first software team building the next-generation loyalty platform. You’ll be a software engineer first and a quality practitioner second, enabling teams with automation, tooling, and practical testing experience.

You’ll drive quality across the SDLC, shift left, and collaborate with engineering to raise reliability. This is a remote, full-time role with room for growth and impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Fluency in white box, black box, unit, integration, and functional testing.
• Bias toward automation; experience automating tests in real-world enterprise environments.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner (a plus).
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Enable teams by providing them with the environment and knowledge to run a robust quality program.
• Execute tests where appropriate; you are a software engineer first, a quality practitioner second.
• Shift left on quality and automate tests to improve reliability.
• Guide our software engineering team on the continuous improvement journey.
• Enable engineering to thoroughly test their own code through tooling, piloting, advocacy, and education.
• Show continual, meaningful software quality progress to stakeholders.
