Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Software Developer in Test (SDET) for a 100% remote U.S. position. The candidate must have strong programming skills (C#, .Net, Java, Python) and experience in both manual and automated testing within Agile environments.

Responsibilities include designing and executing test plans, writing test scripts, performing validation across IT systems, and contributing to test automation and CI/CD workflows using tools like Selenium, JUnit, and GitHub Actions. U.S.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
• Experience on complex software projects with high-quality deliverables.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing and Agile SDLC.
• Proficiency in writing/executing test cases, scripts, and plans.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks/tools (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with version control (Git, Subversion).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
• Understanding of security testing practices and APIs/web services testing.
• 10+ years of software testing/QA experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust (MBI) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures to ensure information systems meet standards.
• Develop test plans/schedules and testing approaches.
• Write test cases/scripts and identify data for test scenarios.
• Conduct test walkthroughs with stakeholders and management.
• Perform tests to ensure proper operation and defect-free software.
• Document and communicate test results and metrics.
• Support analysis of test results and issue resolution.
• Create daily test metrics and reports.
• Explore improvements to procedures and configurations.
• Contribute to broader IT system engineering activities as needed.
