Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET) for a 100% remote role. The position requires strong programming skills in C#, Java, or Python and experience with both manual and automated testing in Agile environments.

The candidate will develop test plans, write scripts, and execute tests across IT systems and services, using Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and CI/CD tools. A U.S. citizenship and Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in C#, Java, or Python.
• Proven ability to write and execute test cases and tests.
• Experience with automated and manual testing across SDLC.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and version control.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures.
• Create test schedules and testing approaches.
• Write test scripts and identify data for scenarios.
• Lead tests of IT systems and ensure defect-free operation.
• Document, communicate, and track test results and metrics.
• Support analysis and resolution of open issues.
• Mentor junior testers and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing.
