Job summary

Pearson is seeking Associate, Scoring Services to score California teacher licensure content areas remotely. Candidates must hold a California teaching credential or equivalent qualifications and have recent teaching or scoring experience.

Role involves evaluating responses, adhering to scoring standards, and participating in consensus discussions. Training is provided, with flexible scheduling and remote work options.

Qualifications

• Hold a Teaching Credential in California corresponding to the content field and have at least three years of teaching experience, or have taught within the last three years in California.
• Or be an instructor in a California institution of higher education who has taught in the last three years in the content field.
• Or have served as a Single Subject Assessments for Teaching scorer in the content field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by California teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring activities.
• Recognize bias types and discuss strategies to reduce biases in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test before scoring.
