Pearson is seeking remote scoring professionals to evaluate Massachusetts teacher candidates across Dance, Digital Literacy & Computer Science, History, Music, Technology Engineering, and Theater. A bachelor’s degree and current teaching certification in the subject area or equivalent teaching-experience—plus eligibility to work in the U.S.—are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field and teaching certification.
  • Current teaching certification in the subject area and two+ years in a public school role in that subject.
  • Alternative: college/university faculty member preparing candidates for the subject.
  • Graduate students teaching courses in the subject area may qualify.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate responses to test questions by Massachusetts teacher candidates.
  • Internalize scoring standards and engage with scorers in consensus scoring.
  • Discuss bias types and strategies to reduce scoring bias.
  • Meet quality and productivity requirements for the scoring program.
  • Working remotely with a starting rate of $17.50 per hour.
