Job summary

Pearson is seeking qualified scorers to evaluate responses to test questions for English 6-12, remotely from the United States. A bachelor’s degree or higher is required, plus appropriate teaching certification or substantial teaching experience in the subject area, and approval by the Florida Department of Education.

Scorers work weekday schedules 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM EST, with sessions one day every two weeks, starting in fall 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Current teaching certification in subject area or 5+ years recent public school experience in the subject area.
• Approval to score by the Florida Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Florida teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in scoring activities.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements, including passing a qualifying test before scoring.
