Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a qualified School Counselor for the K12 Private Academy, a fully virtual program.

The counselor will support students’ academic success, social-emotional development, and college/career readiness, collaborating with staff to build graduation plans and coordinate placement and transcripts. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in counseling or related field, at least three years of counseling/advisement experience, and ideally a School Counselor license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling or related field.
• Three years of experience in counseling/advisement.
• School Counselor license preferred.
• Ability to clear required background check.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based search engines, and databases.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive services and a comprehensive school counseling program.
• Assist students with postsecondary planning and career readiness.
• Review transcripts and advise on course placement and graduation requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop four-year graduation plans.
• Support testing programs, parent education, and staff development.
• Travel up to 20% for professional development and student assessments.
