Job summary

Stride, Inc. is hiring a full-time School Counselor for its virtual K12 Private Academy. The role supports student academic, social, and career readiness, with focus on college planning and postsecondary options.

The position requires independence and a home office setup, typically 9-5 or 8-4, and may involve travel. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and three years of counseling/advisement experience, with a preference for a School Counselor License and a Master’s in school

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of counseling/advisement experience.
• Master’s degree in school counseling preferred.
• School Counselor License preferred.
• Ability to clear required background check.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students on postsecondary options and graduation planning.
• Deliver classroom instruction aligned with student success standards.
• Review transcripts and graduation requirements for candidacy.
• Collaborate with staff to create four-year graduation plans.
• Provide short-term counseling and referral for long-term support.
• Support testing programs, parent education, and staff development.
• Travel up to 20% for professional development and student activities.
