Stride, Inc. seeks a School Counselor for the K12 Private Academy, a virtual role serving students nationwide. The counselor promotes academic, social, and emotional development and guides college and career planning. Collaboration with staff and families is essential to support student success.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree; a Master’s in school counseling and a state license are preferred. Distance learning experience and charter school exposure are advantageous.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master’s degree in school counseling preferred.
• School counselor license preferred.
• Experience with distance learning.
• Experience in a charter school environment preferred.
• Experience with local, state, and federal laws and mandated reporting.
• Experience in a customer service environment.

• Promotes student success through a comprehensive school counseling program.
• Guides students in academic planning, college and career readiness.
• Maintains caseload with quarterly reviews of graduation plans.
• Reviews transcripts and academic documentation for students.
• Collaborates with teaching staff to develop graduation plans and audit schedules.
• Analyzes data to develop intervention programs.
• Provides short-term counseling and referrals for longer-term support.
• Participates in standardized testing programs and parent education.
• Travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development and assessments.
