Job summary

Cartwheel is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join as a founding member of the South Carolina clinical team, delivering teletherapy to K-12 students in partner districts. This 1099 contract role offers 8-20 hours weekly, remote within the US, with a rolling start date beginning December 2026.

You’ll collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and school staff to integrate care, support families, and help establish equitable mental health services in schools across SC and beyond.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Active independent license in South Carolina (LISW-CP, LPC, LMFT).
• Experience delivering care via telehealth.
• CBT/DBT/ACT or related modalities.
• Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
• Access to reliable high-speed internet.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health assessments and teletherapy to K-12 students and school staff.
• Participate in case discussions with Cartwheel team members.
• Support students and families with transition to community care providers.
• Build strong relationships with school leadership, staff, students, and families; communicate regularly.
