UPMC is seeking a Scheduling Services Scheduling Specialist, Associate based in the South Side of Pittsburgh with work-from-home options after training. You will act as the first contact for patients, guiding scheduling, providing directions and prep details, and entering demographic and insurance data.

A monthly incentive program is included. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient advocacy, and collaborative work with staff across departments.

Qualifikationen

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of general customer service experience.

Aufgaben

• Answer multi-line telephone system and schedule appointments per department protocols.
• Review, verify and enter patient demographics, financial and insurance information.
• Advocate for patients by providing guidance on scheduling, registration, billing and inquiries.
• Complete forms, upload/scan documents, and mail new patient packets before scheduled appointments.
• Coordinate post-discharge appointment requirements and document actions on patient accounts.
• Address patient concerns by deciding when to handle calls or escalate to clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data quality in the systems.
