Job summary

UPMC Partners in Health in Delmont is seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative to warmly welcome patients, assist with the check-in process, and ensure a positive, seamless visit across Delmont, Murrysville, and Level Green locations.

Responsibilities include collecting copays, updating registration and insurance information, scheduling follow-ups, guiding patients to the MyUPMC portal, verifying benefits, and coordinating with financial advocacy resources as needed while upholding

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using self-check-in technology and consumer health portals.
• Strong communication and HIPAA awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm greeting for all patients.
• Guide patient through use of self-arrival technology or check-in at desk depending on patient preference.
• Collect copayments and any other applicable patient payments at the point of service.
• Confirm and/or update patient registration information at checkout and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Provide follow-up to unresolved patient questions to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote MyUPMC patient portal and assist patients in registration when applicable.
• Confirm/verify insurance benefits with the appropriate carrier via online verification systems or telephone inquiries.
• Obtain signature of patient or family member for consent to treatment and financial responsibility following HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors
• Performs other duties as assigned.
