UPMC is hiring a full-time Patient Financial Coordinator to support the Patient Advocacy department. The role is Monday–Friday with shifts 8:00am–4:30pm or 11:00am–7:00pm and is eligible for remote work.

The coordinator will provide timely financial counseling to uninsured or underinsured patients, assist with applications for PA Medical Assistance, the Health Insurance Marketplace, and UPMC Financial Assistance, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards during patient

Formación

• Experience with medical insurance.

Responsabilidades

• Assist uninsured or underinsured patients with obtaining health care coverage, with either the Health Insurance Marketplace or Pennsylvania Medical Assistance.
• Perform benefit education and financial counseling on potential out of pocket transplant related expenses with patients during clinic appointments and subsequent discussion via telephone on an as needed basis.
