Job summary

IKS Health is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to join our front-end Revenue Cycle Management and patient access teams. You will manage inbound/outbound calls, collect demographics and insurance data, verify eligibility, and ensure accurate scheduling to optimize provider calendars.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment, following HIPAA rules and provider templates while delivering empathetic service and minimizing billing errors. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years in healthcare scheduling or patient access.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance types (Commercial/Medicare/Medicaid).
• Experience using EHR and PM scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume inbound/outbound calls to schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments.
• Capture and verify patient demographics and insurance details.
• Perform basic real-time insurance eligibility checks and discuss copays or referrals.
• Follow scheduling templates and clinical guidelines for flow.
• Place outbound reminder calls; manage recalls and waitlists.
• Provide compassionate customer service and escalate complex issues.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and adherence to policies.
• Meet daily performance metrics for call handling, accuracy, quality, and attendance.
