Job summary

Zions Bancorporation seeks an SBA Underwriter to assess SBA loan packages, focusing on 7a, Express and 504 loans. The role supports credit decisions with detailed cash flow analysis, collateral review and risk assessment.

A remote option is available within the footprint, with on-site work possible near Midvale, UT, and a typical 40-hour workweek. The ideal candidate has 1+ year in SBA or commercial lending, strong analytical skills, and solid knowledge of lending regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field.
• 1+ year experience in commercial, CRE credit or SBA underwriting or related work.
• Basic knowledge of SBA lending policies and applicable laws.
• Ability to analyze financial statements, cash flows and credit reports.
• Strong judgment, discretion and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite SBA loan products (7a, Express, 504) per SBA SOP and bank policies.
• Prepare credit packages with spreads, cash flow, collateral value and appraisals.
• Present analysis summaries to Credit Approvers with RM for renewals and new loans.
• Evaluate and approve/deny commercial and CRE loan applications within guidelines.
• Spread financials, identify credit strengths/weaknesses and document analysis.
• Respond to inquiries and mitigate identified risks.
