Job summary

Mission Recruit is assisting a growing community bank in Salt Lake City to hire an SBA Business Development Officer. This on-site, full-time role originates SBA 7(a) and 504 loans, builds a referral network, and collaborates with underwriting and compliance to close transactions.

You will manage the full lifecycle from prospecting to funding, with regular travel within your market. A demonstrated production track record and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in SBA lending, SBA business development, or commercial lending with a proven origination track record.
• Ability to build, manage, and maintain an SBA loan pipeline and relationships with referral partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration with underwriting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a consistent SBA 7(a) and 504 lending pipeline.
• Prospect and build referral networks with CPAs, attorneys, CRE professionals, and bankers.
• Represent the bank at industry events and manage partnerships to expand services beyond SBA.
• Screen, structure, and communicate loan packages consistent with SBA and bank standards.
