Job summary

Voyager Lending is seeking an experienced SBA Loan Underwriter to join our lending team remotely in the Southeastern United States. You will provide accurate credit analysis and underwriting support for SBA/USDA loan requests, maintaining SOPs and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 3+ years SBA 7(a) underwriting, strong financial analysis, and collaboration with BDOs, lenders, and management to deliver timely credit decisions while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
• 3+ years SBA 7(a) loan underwriting experience.
• Thorough knowledge of SBA lending regulations, procedures, and underwriting practices.
• Strong financial analysis and credit underwriting skills.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and underwrite SBA and USDA loan requests per bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare credit analyses, including cash flow and collateral analysis.
• Collaborate with BDOs, lending staff, and management throughout underwriting.
• Manage a pipeline of new and modification requests; review underwriting conditions.
• Communicate with borrowers, lenders, and third parties; ensure timely decisions.
• Attend training and regulatory compliance programs.
