Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to back the SBA Express Program, coordinating daily sales activities and processing loan applications. This role acts as a main contact for bankers during the loan cycle and helps ensure a smooth customer experience.

You will review eligibility, verify documents, and coordinate timely processing from application to commitment, while ensuring compliance with SBA SOP and bank policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with 4 years' experience in Sales, Customer Service, or Operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary resource for bankers by providing guidance and support throughout the application process.
• Review loan applications and supporting documentation to determine eligibility.
• Verify receipt of complete loan packages and confirm all required documentation has been provided.
• Review applications to ensure minimum Experian Blended Score requirements are met.
• Process loan applications and due diligence documentation accurately and within established service standards.
• Ensure loan requests comply with SBA SOP, bank policies, and program guidelines.
• Communicate proactively with bankers regarding application status, missing information, and next steps.
• Maintain accurate records and update applicable banking systems throughout the loan origination process.
• Collaborate with internal partners to facilitate efficient loan processing and an exceptional customer experience.
• Identify and elevate issues that may impact eligibility, approval, or processing timelines.
