Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to back the SBA Express Program. This remote role supports bankers through the loan application process, reviews eligibility, and coordinates documentation from application to commitment.

You will ensure adherence to SBA SOP and bank policies, communicate status to bankers, and maintain records across banking systems, delivering efficient service and an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or high school/GED with 4 years in Sales, Customer Service, or Operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with banking platforms and tools (BOSS, Spark).

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary resource for bankers by guiding them through the SBA Express application process.
• Review loan applications and supporting documentation to determine eligibility.
• Verify receipt of complete loan packages and ensure all required documentation is provided.
• Review applications to ensure minimum SBA blended score requirements are met.
• Process loan applications and due diligence documentation accurately within service standards.
• Ensure loan requests comply with SBA SOP, bank policies, and program guidelines.
• Communicate proactively with bankers regarding status, missing information, and next steps.
• Maintain accurate records and update banking systems throughout the origination process.
• Collaborate with internal partners to facilitate efficient loan processing and customer experience.
• Identify and elevate issues that may impact eligibility, approval, or processing timelines.
