Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a remote Manager, Sales Training for the Vision commercial organization in the continental USA. You will design onboarding and role-development experiences, partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure readiness and performance.

The role emphasizes translating business needs into practical learning solutions and leading cross-functional initiatives. The ideal candidate combines field sales or commercial experience with strong learning and development

Qualifications

• BA/BS required; MA/MS in a related field preferred.
• Experience in Vision Care sales or 5+ years in Sales Training, onboarding, or commercial training.
• Strong business acumen linked to commercial priorities.
• Ability to translate needs into practical learning solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding strategy for new sales representatives from pre-boarding to field readiness.
• Translate business needs into practical learning & development solutions.
• Design blended learning journeys with formal learning, practice, coaching and assessment.
• Partner with Sales Leaders to set readiness expectations and development priorities.
• Ensure onboarding covers customer interactions, selling expectations, territory/account management, product knowledge, and business context.
• Engage managers through defined touchpoints, coaching expectations, tools, and resources.
• Apply adult-learning principles to improve engagement and retention.
• Guide field trainers, facilitators, and external partners to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Use feedback and metrics to evaluate effectiveness and drive improvement.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and manage timelines and stakeholders.
• Facilitate onboarding and development experiences as needed.
• Stay connected to the field to keep programs relevant.
