Job summary

SMS group GmbH in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Sales and Proposal Manager for Electrics & Automation Long Product to lead positioning in the Americas, win orders, and manage aftermarket support and revamp proposals.

You will coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Automation teams, prepare cost estimates, present proposals, and drive marketing strategy for North and South America. Travel 25-40% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering required and 5+ years in Industrial Automation.
• Experience with Section/Rail Mills and/or Bar and Wire mills is required.
• Strong communication skills in English; able to present technically.
• Ability to travel 25-40% for customer visits and internal meetings.

Responsibilities

• Determine references for equipment and cost with sales and engineering teams.
• Manage proposal writing and editing.
• Coordinate engineering work for proposal preparation.
• Prepare and edit cost estimates for proposed projects.
• Present technical proposals to customers and SMS group technology.
• Develop and execute marketing strategy for Americas region.
