Job summary

Buildout is seeking its first Sales Engineer to bring technical depth to our sales process. This fully remote role supports Account Executives and expands our capability to demonstrate the value of Buildout across the US.

You will own complex product and integration conversations, create consistent demo environments, and help shape the SE function as Buildout grows. 3+ years in a client-facing SaaS sales engineering role is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a client-facing Sales Engineer role, ideally supporting a SaaS sales organization.
• Strong presentation and discovery skills with experience leading tailored product demonstrations.
• Experience partnering with Sales and cross-functional teams such as Product, Product Marketing, Customer Success, or Implementation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives on complex opportunities, especially during later-stage demos and integration conversations.
• Translate complexity into value by aligning Buildout capabilities with customer outcomes.
• Deliver compelling, tailored demos that reflect the customer's use case.
• Guide stronger technical discovery to uncover requirements without needing to attend every call.
• Own complex product and integration conversations on topics like integrations, APIs, reporting, and workflows.
