Job summary

IEM is seeking a Sales Engineer in Houston to drive the sale of MV/LV switchgear, switchboards and panelboards through direct channels. You will develop contractor accounts and end-user contacts, assembling full project quotations and material lists.

The role covers the Houston area with a remote office base and requires strong relationships in the local electrical equipment market. Previous success in coordinating large bids is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years’ experience selling power distribution equipment.
• Proven ability to negotiate large project orders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute account plans with the Sales Director.
• Identify and build relationships with decision makers and influencers.
• Create proposals and bills of materials for customer requirements.
• Manage forecasting and provide capacity planning information.
• Handover to Platform Execution team and ensure customer satisfaction.
