Job summary

Sunbird-Software-Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer I to support demos, POC activities, and technical discovery for Sunbird’s solutions. This early-career SE will learn under senior SEs and account managers, building foundational presales skills in a remote, United States-based role.

You will contribute to demos, assist with RFPs, and help maintain labs, assets, and knowledge bases while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced sales environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a technical, IT, or customer-facing role.
• Foundational understanding of data center operations, DCIM, IT infrastructure.
• Strong desire to develop consultative selling and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with guidance and preparation.
• Strong organizational skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced sales environment.
• Exceptional communication skills and fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 15–20% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with customer demonstrations of Sunbird’s solutions for small to midsize clients, preparing demo environments, datasets, and scenarios aligned to customer use cases.
• Support POC activities for small to midsize clients by helping execute defined POC plans, tracking progress, and answering customer questions.
• Serve as a technical resource to the sales team, responding to questions and escalating complex topics as needed.
• Maintain demo labs and environments, ensuring demos and materials are current and ready for engagements.
• Assist with technical RFP responses by gathering information and coordinating with internal teams.
• Update and maintain CRM records (HubSpot) for POCs, demos, and engagements.
• Contribute to the Sales Engineering documentation repository with guides, templates, narratives, and playbooks.
