Job summary

Varonis is seeking a Sales Engineer based in the Boston area to support the sales team with deep cloud computing and cybersecurity expertise. You will lead product demonstrations, craft technical proposals, and advise customers on best practices for data security and cloud adoption.

You will collaborate with customers and partners, build strong relationships, and stay ahead of industry trends to position Varonis effectively in a competitive market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years in a sales engineering or technical pre-sales role focusing on cloud computing and cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience with SaaS applications such as Microsoft 365 and Salesforce.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales to understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions that address their needs.
• Conduct in-depth product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients, highlighting Varonis solutions.
• Develop and deliver technical proposals, including architecture diagrams and implementation plans.
• Serve as a technical advisor on data security, cloud computing, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Assist in developing sales strategies and account plans to achieve revenue targets.
• Stay current with industry trends and competitive landscape to position Varonis effectively.
• Provide feedback to product management on customer requirements and market trends.
• Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to promote Varonis solutions and thought leadership.
• Support and drive sales activity to over-achieve targets.
