Job summary

ABB is seeking a Sales Applications Specialist to support the NY/NJ market with complete technical solutions. The role is remote, but candidates should reside in New York City, New Jersey, or Philadelphia.

You will work with customers, distributors, and the sales team to meet objectives in ABB Smart Buildings. You will develop cost-effective proposals, provide value engineering, and manage projects from quotes to invoicing while expanding ABB's market presence through training and cross-selling

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in the electrical industry preferred, or a high school diploma with 15+ years in the field.
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to respond quickly to customer needs.
Proficiency in spoken and written communication and presenting to others.
Experience with contractors and channel partners a plus.
Technical application, takeoff, and proposal development experience is highly desired.
Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools; valid driver's license; travel 5–10% as needed.

Responsibilities

Increase sales growth and profitability by developing cost-effective proposals and value engineering.
Manage and execute customer projects with accurate quoting, orders, invoicing, and change orders.
Build and grow customer relationships; provide product and software training and cross-selling.
Identify business opportunities via lead tracking, CRM, and industry involvement.
Support strategies to expand ABB's market presence and margins.
