Job summary

Encova Insurance is seeking a Safety and Loss Control Consultant to assess and improve client safety programs across property, casualty and workers' compensation lines. You will conduct loss analyses, prepare risk reports for underwriting, and mentor trainees in loss control best practices.

This remote role supports Eastern and Middle Tennessee accounts with a focus on hazard prevention and risk reduction. The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree, safety certifications are preferred, and a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree in Safety or Industrial Hygiene preferred.
• Two years of full-time or equivalent occupational safety management experience preferred.
• Certifications CSP, CIH, ARM, ASP are preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT and NFPA standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Consult policyholders to improve safety programs and performance.
• Evaluate policyholder safety programs and work sites for hazards.
• Conduct simple Industrial Hygiene testing.
• Provide risk and hazard findings to underwriting with recommendations.
• Develop cost-effective methods to correct hazards and exposures.
• Lead and motivate staff to achieve loss control goals.
