Job summary

Amerisure Insurance is seeking a Senior Risk Management/Loss Control Consultant to conduct risk assessments at client sites and provide risk management program recommendations. This field-based role sits remotely in the Raleigh/Durham area or in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem, NC region and supports a hybrid work approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management or related field; professional designations preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in safety, risk management, or related industry.
• Proficient with MS Office and virtual meeting tools.
• Ability to build positive internal and external relationships.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 3 overnights per month.

Responsibilities

• Conducts risk management surveys at policyholders’ premises and develops risk management program recommendations.
• Leverages technology to support virtual engagement in a hybrid work environment.
• Provides resources and topics on risk management to policyholders and agency customers.
• Delivers quantitative/qualitative analysis to support customer service and risk improvement plans.
• Manages workload to meet engagement objectives and coordinates with underwriting and claims for new business and retention.
• Conducts training sessions for policyholders and agency customers; participates in conferences as needed.
• Promotes company initiatives through agency relationships and serves as an advisor on risk management matters.
• Participates in workgroups supporting profitability and service delivery; escalates trends or issues as needed.
• Engages with vendors to support service delivery and risk improvement strategies.
• Mentors other risk management consultants and assists with onboarding.
