Job summary

Sentry Insurance seeks a Risk Control Consultant to deliver safety and risk management services across a multi-state territory, conducting onsite evaluations, advising underwriting teams, and helping clients develop loss-control policies. The role supports remote work with required travel.

Ideal candidates hold a safety-related bachelor's degree, have 1–5 years of insurance safety consulting experience, and demonstrate strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety or equivalent work experience.
• Background in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or Physical Sciences preferred.
• 1-5 years of insurance safety consulting or safety work in construction/manufacturing.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work from home.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite facility evaluations to identify exposures and maintenance needs.
• Assess building protections for occupancy and hazards.
• Prepare detailed risk reports for Property, General Liability, Auto, and Workers' Comp.
• Help customers develop safety policies and loss-control programs.
• Provide advanced risk management and consultative services.
• Lead safety inspections and OSHA 10-hour seminars for regional construction.
• Develop safety training programs and risk management seminars.
• Create service proposals and plans for qualified accounts.
