Job summary

Encova Insurance is seeking a Safety and Loss Control Consultant to analyze loss data, conduct on-site risk assessments, and recommend measures to improve policyholder safety across property, casualty, and workers' compensation lines. The role reports to a Director and supports underwriting with risk evaluations.

Remote work available with preference for Eastern Tennessee residents. Ideal candidates will have CSP/CIH/ARM/ASP or equivalent, a strong safety program management background, and the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Safety or Industrial Hygiene preferred.
• Two years of occupational safety management experience preferred.
• Certifications: CSP, CIH, ARM, ASP preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, NFPA standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Consult with policy holders to improve safety programs.
• Provide underwriters with safety information.
• Evaluate safety programs and worksites for hazards.
• Conduct basic Industrial Hygiene testing.
• Develop cost-effective hazard correction methods.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for management.
