Job summary

GovPilot’s Implementation Consultant leads end-to-end deployments of our SaaS applications across municipal government, guiding customers through configuration, data migration, and training to ensure adoption.

As part of the GovPilot Professional Services team, you’ll translate business requirements into scalable solutions, manage complex deployments across departments, and collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering to improve the platform and drive measurable value.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of SaaS implementation or professional services experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, cloud environments, and data management principles.
• Experience translating client data logic into clear requirements for technical team members.
• Proficiency with tools such as Wrike, HubSpot, Salesforce, Jira, or other implementation-related platforms.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder client relationships with professionalism, navigating competing priorities and organizational politics effectively.
• Proven ability to re-engineer client business processes and architect system solutions that go beyond standard platform configurations.
• Demonstrated experience leading organizational change management initiatives within client engagements, driving adoption across multi-stakeholder environments.
• Ability to independently navigate technically complex or politically sensitive client situations, escalating to senior leadership only when necessary.
• Experience partnering with Product or Engineering teams to communicate client-side feature gaps and influence roadmap decisions.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business explanations.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering implementations on time with strong Post Deployment Survey scores and measurable user adoption outcomes.
• PMP or CSM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technically complex implementations across multiple departments.
• Advise clients on re-engineering business processes to maximize value of the platform.
• Architect custom system solutions for unique client requirements beyond standard configurations.
• Consult on data strategy, advising on data cleansing and restructuring.
• Oversee QA standards for data imports and system integrations; ensure data integrity before go-live.
• Design and lead executive and department-head-level training sessions focused on change management and adoption strategy.
• Monitor project health across a portfolio of complex implementations with minimal oversight.
• Own the post-launch transition with Customer Success for long-term platform health and high adoption.
• Partner with Sales during pre-sales to assess feasibility and support RFP responses.
• Provide formal feedback to Product and Engineering on feature gaps.
• Drive industry-specific best practice playbooks for Professional Services.
• Lead process-improvement initiatives to elevate delivery standards and scalability.
